In 1994, from the viewpoint of the world I was considered one of the more successful worship leaders in the country. I had a brand-new Mercedes Benz in my garage (which was horrible to drive in the winter), a nice home loaded with furniture given to me, and everything seemed perfect.
That year when Rodney Howard Brown came to minister at our church, the Lord took me for a whirlwind one evening. The joy of the Lord hit me so hard, I took off running and literally ran right into the stage and collapsed on it!
Then the Lord began to speak to me ever so clearly. He asked, “Isn’t the life you have good?” I replied, “Yes, yes, it is.” “Are you comfortable and happy with how things are?” He continued. Again, I replied, “Yes, yes I am.” He then responded, “If you would have asked of me, I would have given you the nations.” I pondered for a moment and said, “Lord, I would like the nations!” And that was my great moment of visitation to bring the message of Messiah to the nations!
It was not long after that Mike Coleman, the founder and former president of Integrity Music, asked me to record Shalom Jerusalem…and the rest is history!
From that point, the Lord has allowed me to branch off into three directions—speaker, worshiper, author. So my heart is to serve you through these three expressions. Check out these links for more information on each.
